Most of the homes I’ve worked on are older, smaller and have a lot of personality already. This new construction home was such a fun change of pace because I was really able to help make it THEIRS. I started out with a clean slate and didn’t have to tear down any walls or tile anything, it was all about the superficial cosmetic details & I LOVE getting lost in the details. ☺️They wanted me to surprise them with a more homey, cozy, modern-farmhouse feel in their ultra modern home. To me, that means bringing in a lot of earthy colors, pops of wood + muted metals, & layering textures like it’s my job (because it is). My favorite room from this set of pics is the guest bedroom. I think it’s because I never do sketches or use software when I design, it’s all in my head, so when a room turns out exactly how I envisioned it… it encourages me to keep doing it my way (though it’s not conventional and certainly not recommended). Sorry not that sorry… it’s all I know. 🙈Thank you again to my amazing install team (aka best friends), to the incredibly wonderful Fertig Family, & thank YOU for being here with us. 🥰
